[TRAM][WIP] Bratislava

  • Hello!

I started build map of Bratislava. I want build as real map as I know. But now, I use 1435mm gauge, because i think LOTUS doesn´t support two gauges rails.

    In first version I build:

Tram line 1 from Petržalka to Hlavná Stanica (about 15-20min.)

There is first photos from editor. Some textures will be better, but i have to go to Bratislava next weekend. :)

On the photos is end station Jungmanova.

    Have a nice day. :)

  • Some new screenshoots.

    What´s new?

    -platforms

    -new pavement

    -rails between Jungmanova - Farského

    -terrain height fix

    Things which will be change:

    -texture in loop tracks

    -details on platforms

    and more...

  • btw, isn't the interlocking / interconnection between both main tracks too sharp (too small curve radius)? Or is it just like that in reality as well?

  • Now, I´m only building map. Maybe later when I will have important part of map done I can thinking about making tram. But, on this line isn´t operated by Tatra trams, because there isn´t end loop and in Bratislava is only Tatras with one cabin (K2S, T3, T6A5). Here you can see only new trams Škoda Forcity 30T.

But now, I don´t want talking about far future, because still is many things which I have to do.

  • After half-year are there the next news from map of Bratislava.

From October to January I don´t have time for build map and also I can´t continue with place tracks because there is bridge upon highway and river Danube. In Christmas time I started build map of Brno, where I learned with editor.

But from February I continued with Bratislava. I think, still I don´t know everything about LOTUS editor, but I´m sure I know much better with these than in autumn.

Because in LOTUS still don´t work with bridge, i change my workplan. I started built line 2 from Hlavná Stanica (Main Station) to ŽST Nové Mesto (Rail station). I have placed tracks for whole route. Now I´m doing tracks junction and from there is one photo.

There you can see junction near tram stop Blumental.

  • Well, technically you can build "bridges", though with many restrictions.

I already built a bridge over the Danube, using the S49 tracks and not the grooved (this one doesn't attach the terrain to itself). Sure, it needs some sort of graphic trick to look better, but it's not impossible (though you can't really cross rails on different heights, the map editor gets crazy then).

  • This week, I completed build rails for line 2. Today, I started next stage: roads.

For this time, I wasn´t started at Hlavná Stanica, but at ŽST Nové Mesto.

And one screen from Tomášikova street, where is still many things what to do.
