Hi, i had a question before buying this game, Do you have to choose an irl location for building maps?
i would love to create some routes once i bought the game but i dont want to base it on real life locations.
i read something about open world map making, does that mean that you can create singleplayer maps too?

You can create singleplayer maps. And you can create fictional maps. 
Addition: Please note that due to a bug with Steam we couldn't yet publish our tools. In the worst case you will not be able to test the Map editor until Monday 6 P.M. CEST.
