Map Editor - Saved Map Invisible Splines

  • 1. Please describe as detailed as possible what you did and which problem that leads to.

    Since todays patch, I had create new map then i had created spines. However after saving and reopened the map slines are now invisible until you click it, then move on to next spline previous spline will dissapeare.

    Pic 2 and Pic 3 Only way to show them is by going into properties box and save. However even after saving and reopening Map same problem

  • You simply didn't regenerate the terrain after placing the splines, did you? If you place them, save the map and close the editor, they won't be generated into the terrain, and when you open it again, that will happen what you said. If I remember well, a simple terrain regeneration doesn't help in cases like that, you have to click on every damn spline, open their properties, hit enter, and do the same thing on every spline (catenaries too, which is quite a nice challenge to be honest).

  • Yeah and especially when editor doesn't want to regenerate the terrain you want. Lately happens to me. When i want to regenerate terrain with new spline or object editor doesn't regenerate that terrain spot, instead it ether regenerate neighboring terrain or doesn't regenerate at all so i have to navigate until editor regenerates everything which is dumb.

  • Thanks both of you, I have clicked refresh terrain setting to load map it seams to work but Editor needs alot of work and very complex coming from omsi 2 editor.
