Lotus Map Editor "crashing" on opening any map

  • 1. Please describe as detailed as possible what you did and which problem that leads to.

Hi, just tried to launch the Map editor, but when trying to open a map (either creating a new one, or loading a map) a small loading window opens for a split second, then the whole editor disappears.

It is still visible in Task Manager and happily using CPU and RAM resources.

    2. Please post your logfile and if possible attach your debug logfile, as well, which have been created during the problem occured.

    Log File attached (logfile_editor.txt)

edit: Debug Logfile attached as well (logfile_editor.ldl)

  • For me, the editor usually takes several minutes to open after loading the map, so maybe try just letting it sit for a while and see if it does something. Also, I'd recommend pressing Windows+Tab after a while to see if there are any editor windows open (such as some sort of confirmation window or similar) because for some reason it really loves to hide windows behind all the other open programs.

  • Yeah I tried to use the Map Editor on Linux and first I thought this won't work. But it happened I left the program open and after 10 minutes the map editor opened.

I say this just in case, if there's another mad guy like me who wants anything but windows on their PC.
