The reason I went for AMD was that the performance is more or less the same as the blue team in terms of raw single core speed.

My previous experience with AMD hasn't been that great, but this thing is rock stable, and I hope this CPU can be my workshorse for the next 5 years or so.

Of course its better. 3570 is from 2012 and has only 4 cores, 4 threads. Though, i recommend to check for a BIOS update, as AMD never tells people that every new BIOS update, gives people more features, for example, faster ram speed, easier overclocking, etc. And of course, the performance is going to be waay better, only not many people know this.
