Is there a toggle somewhere that allows me to whitelist all media urls, I haven't found on yet or turn this feature off completely? It's getting quite annoying to that you need to whitelist the image provider subdomains all the time

I agree. I would also like to see people link directly to images so they don't appear as thumbnails.
Also, when talking about sharing pictures, it would be nice to use image providers that have been around for long and loads pictures fast. Imgur is great example here. They also stores the picture for a long time even when they are not loaded.
