What is the best way to create a rural/country road without a curbstone?

Splines are too regular, and doesn't match with polygons at intersections and polygons take to long to lay down and look crooked.

What is the best way to make a road with no curbstone?

I think to use splines for country road are the best option. Maybe if you create a new spline with an smooth transition between road and rim you get a better look.

When you arrive at an intersection you can switch on polygons

I agree Otrivan, but of course I can understand, that it is not a good solution for intersections.

I cannot promise you, but perhaps we will add a solution specially for country roads. But as long as there is not such solution available, you could try using "flat" curbstones as borders at intersections. OK, the look will change, but perhaps it could look fine, too?
