What is the best way to create a sloped intersection (with terrain subgrades)?

  • Hello, let's say I had a 1 lane road, that split into 2 one lane roads, both going to different elevations. What would the best way to do this be? It seems that if I put 2 subgrades too close to each other, one gets ignored.

    Thanks in advance :)

  • Hello! :-)

Please try this kind of construction:

But you have to do these things:

    • First create the main road completely with all gradients and so on
    • Create the secondary road with :heightrelabs: activated - then the gradients of the secondary road should adapt to the main road
    • Switch off this option of all elements of the secondary road which are near of the main road:

This option let influence the main road the secondary road, which is ok for larger areas, but not good for smaller situations like in your case.
    • If your polygons in this area are too bumpy, try reducing this option:

I hope, I could help you a little bit! :-)

  • Thanks for quick reply i try it but i have the same problems. :(

I attached screenshots and settings of the terrain subgrades(numbered from 1-3 ). I think the mistake is that the other one is above the first but i don´t know how to do it differently (and achieve a targeted result ).

    Thanks in advance, centipede

  • I think that so far the only solution is to set the same height at the point where the subgrades diverge 🤷‍♂️
