If your model has hundreds of textures, then you're doing it wrong and there'll be a lot of performance lost. So maybe optimize and while you're at it, turn them into .dds?

Resolution should always be 2n.

But then again, why bother reading the description under the bold "Early Access Game" title, right?
QuoteHow is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“The following of our planned features are not yet implemented in LOTUS:
- scheduled traffic and surrounding traffic
- pedestrians, passengers
- interactions with AI

Try this. Everytime there is a pole, have an edge loop in the rail. Should fix your problem.

This is the official port and the objects have the same quality as the ones available for ETS2.
-
Also, what if in the main game at selecting vehicles, there was thumbnails instead of lists?
Nooooo please.
What if the thumbnail was pre-generated in the CT?
-
Maybe adapt ETS2 approach, where the user can configure the view within the game itself. You can move your seat, your head, change the FOV, adjust the steering wheel and move your mirrors.

Actually, no. Don't follow that guide. It's wrong as I've already pointed out (with a help of others).

...change the UVs.
-
Or just Shift+D, Y (assuming Y is the forwards/backwards axis) ±0.01 to move it, flip the normal and change the UVs.

Does "full color" stand for images of cars, arrows, and other various symbols used on signs?
-
Is there planned support for image atlases besides fonts? The idea is that font files are for letters and numbers and image atlas files for, well images and symbols.

I did email the creator (Florian) of the Lexicon entry about Sharp Edges, but I guess it went to spam or something.
The way described is just wrong. To simply separate mesh, you mark the correct edges Sharp and you also add an Edge split modifier and untick the Edge Angle option. Now, I don't have Lotus, so I don't know about the export settings, but it's usually either "Apply modifiers on export" so your mesh only changes for the export, or you have to manually apply it and then go one step back.
This way, your mesh stays clean for future edits and you can freely use the Remove doubles function.
Hope this helps. If you need to know more, let me know. Thanks!
