Well, that's kinda on you. I was also interested in LOTUS but after I saw what they charged for EA (and the state it was in) and then again for the second module, my interest went to 0. Never bought and most likely never will. It's a shame really, it had potential.

Please don't tell me LOTUS doesn't support gradual LOD blending. Because LODs solve these problems for you...

If your model has hundreds of textures, then you're doing it wrong and there'll be a lot of performance lost. So maybe optimize and while you're at it, turn them into .dds?

This is the official port and the objects have the same quality as the ones available for ETS2.

Maybe adapt ETS2 approach, where the user can configure the view within the game itself. You can move your seat, your head, change the FOV, adjust the steering wheel and move your mirrors.

Does "full color" stand for images of cars, arrows, and other various symbols used on signs?

Is there planned support for image atlases besides fonts? The idea is that font files are for letters and numbers and image atlas files for, well images and symbols.

I did email the creator (Florian) of the Lexicon entry about Sharp Edges, but I guess it went to spam or something.

The way described is just wrong. To simply separate mesh, you mark the correct edges Sharp and you also add an Edge split modifier and untick the Edge Angle option. Now, I don't have Lotus, so I don't know about the export settings, but it's usually either "Apply modifiers on export" so your mesh only changes for the export, or you have to manually apply it and then go one step back.

This way, your mesh stays clean for future edits and you can freely use the Remove doubles function.

Nope. You have the material name, then "F", "+" and then the "X". Next to it Nodes mode and Data drop down. Under it is Surface/Wire/Volume/Halo preview modes. If you drop down your materials and it has a zero before the name, it will not be saved.

The minus sign only unlinks the material from the object. If it's used elsewhere, it will remain in the .blend file. To "force" delete the material you need to hold Shift and click the "X" next to the material name, save and reload the file.

Well, I'm pretty sure you know it's usually done using something like Nvidia surround, to make one big screen. ETS2 has this (but you have to dig it up on Steam forums) and it's perfect. The way it works is exlained here and here, maybe you'll get inpiration from it.
