The two parts use the same text texture, right? You could just add another text texture with a second variable that you can change independently.

And the last paragraph is in German, interesting...

It will I think, but LOTUS is definitely not ready for that so far because the developement is still in progress.

For the doors: You know how animations work (everything is written in the lexicon), now you just need to use your knowlegde and create an animation for your doors. There is nothing different to it than create e.g. a button. If you show me what type of door you need, I can explain the way I would do it in detail.

Can you tell me the sizes of the .bmp-File? You entered a height of 177 pixels. You will get an error if the image is too small because obviously there would not be imagery to write the text.

Well, if you want to use the IBIS in a different vehicle, you can insert modular objects. There are some articles about it in the lexicon but they are not translated yet. Also rememver that the GT6n-IBIS is build particularly for the GT6n so it might look and work not perfectly.

What exactly do you try to make? Editable text in the editor is not possible yet. Or do you want to create an object with a text that changes?
-
I hope and I am sure the AI will be better than in OMSI but I don't know how an AI without paths could work, especially because LOTUS supports an editor where you can create roads and crossings that can be very complicated.

AFAIK, the "L" stands for Leitstelle
Sometimes Leitstelle, sometimes Luft, sometimes Laufen, first it was a big secret, now the team doesn't know which is the official anymore

I think many points will be possible soon. The AI isn't developed yet so we have to wait until Janine and Marcel tell us about it. I could distinguish a Scania in a photo they showed once but it seemed more like a secret hint or a riddle so we will see. The stands (among other options) for "laufen" (walking) so that will be definitely possible.

1) That is technically possible with the script-system. So, I don't think the GT6n doesn't support that, after all, the idea of LOTUS is as much reality as possible.
3) Of course you can build other track gauges. The normal width in Germany is 1435mm for example.
I hope could help you a little bit, maybe someone else can say something about the other points.

You would click the "Select in 3D view" button on the right panel, then you just click the mesh of the lightbulb in this case in the 3D window, and then the light would be placed to the pivot of the selected lightbulb mesh, which is usually the center of the object. So you are not selecting a 3D coordinate, you are just selecting a mesh (click it at any part) and its center coordinates are used
Ok, selecting a mesh could work. I was thinking about any position in the vehicle. Then you can't choose a position on a screen because it could be the position right behind it.
Those faders I mentioned could also be used for the vectors of an animation. That would be a really nice feature instead of entering, checking and again and again.
-
Interesting idea but I think it might be hard to get a 3D-coordinate on a 2D-screen. I would suggest to add some faders with a live preview of the coordinates in the model

Did you tested the script only in the Content-Tool? I would try to place the tram on a map and check the value of panto_0 in the Script-Plotter. Also you can check the height of the wire with an if-statement first and only if the wire is not too high the arc for the pantograph will be calculated.
According to the article you mentioned “loadforce_Axle_N_0_0“ is a non-writeable variable. I have no idea for such an animation, too.
-
The arccos-function is only defined for values between -1 and 1 because it uses the ratio of the cathetus and the hypotenuse. The cathetus can't be longer than the hypotenuse so it can't reach other values. I don't know what your variables mean but to get the arc of the panthograph when it reaches the top you should say arccos(maxHeight/lengthPanthograph).
-
For animations you have to use variables with single (numbers with fractions) instead of integer.

Not yet, but it's planned
The team said it here (only in German): Hat das Spiel TrackIR-Unterstützung?

In my opinion a WIP-Thread is mainly intended for feedback to let every addon become better. So you should be able to write comments right there.
-
You can only get a reservation in the fictional world. For a real map you have to apply first and then the team will check it

There is the topic “Showroom“ in the Addons-section for content that is not finished yet.
