Scenery object black in mapeditor

  • 1. Which version of LOTUS is being used (see logfile for version information)?

    2. How often does the problem occur and how?


    Every time i try to place my object.


    3. Which action leads to the problem?


    After I place my trashcan object in the mapeditor, it doesn't have the texture assigned, completely black. In the content tool the texture was set, it's a simple 512*512 DXT1 .dds (tried .bmp as well, same thing happens). Here are my material settings from the content tool:

    I can put down any other default object, they all have their textures.


    4. Which content was used? (Map, vehicles, ...)


    Self made simple trashcan scenery object.


    5. Which mods or plugins were used?


    None other.

  • Sorry for the lack of response. The model was exported from Max 2017 to Blender, and from there to x3d (The x3d exporter is only available up to Max 2015...). I tried to remake the model in Blender, and export it from there straight to x3d. It works that way. So something probably went wrong on my side between the Max -> Blender conversion process. Thread can be closed.
